I’m planning on having a girl dressed in dark colours and having natural hair and makeup in my photos. This will portray the genre of the magazine and the general audience of this genre. I’ll take the photo with a very general background, probably plain or against a wall, making it easier to crop her to not have a background. She won’t have any props in the photo, and will be looking neutral/angry, which again potrays the genre of the magazine. It'll be a range of shots to complement the different types, a mid-close up for the front cover, a close up for the contents page and a long shot for my double page spread.

-Don’t use too much text.

-Do use bright colours to make the magazine stand out.

-Do use interesting photos.

-Do make the masthead stand out.

Contents:

-Don’t make the columns unequal.

-Do use quite a few photos.

-Don’t put too much of a description for the article.

-Do use similar fonts.

-Do have about 3 columns.

I plan to have a photo of a girl in front of the windows on the third floor to get the view of the hills, from the best location possible. I’ll take multiple pictures with different facial expressions, focusing on her being happy. I’ll also make sure that it’s got very light lighting and the colours are neutral to give of the tone that it’s a calm magazine.
